Jenelle Merritt, LPC received her Bachelor of Business Management degree from Georgia State University in 2006. She went on to pursue her Master's in Community Counseling from Argosy University in 2010. Jenelle earned her license in Professional Counseling in 2014. In addition, she holds certifications for Professional Clinical Supervision and Master Addiction Counselor. Jenelle comes from a family of servants. Her mother has worked in an academic setting for 30 years and her father spent his entire life serving individuals with developmental delays as well as those impacted by substance abuse and people living with HIV/AIDS. Jenelle began her journey within the mental health field by working as a contracted clinician for DeKalb County Department of Family Children Services and subsequently went on to support DeKalb Juvenile Drug Court. Jenelle has experience working in the emergency room as a Crisis Clinician with the goal of ensuring those that arrive to the ER are discharged with the appropriate level of care. Jenelle has extensive experience working with people that have severe and persistent mental health diagnoses including, Schizophrenia, Bipolar with Manic Features, Major Depressive Disorder with Psychotic Features. Jenelle focuses on providing quality, person-centered care to those that have taken the first step to receiving help. Jenelle has always been dedicated to instilling hope one session at a time.
