Brandelyn Scott, LPC is a native of Georgia. Born and raised in Middle Georgia, Brandelyn is a proud alumna of Spelman College in Atlanta, GA where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology. She then continued her education by attending Georgia State University where she earned her Master of Science in Professional Counseling. Brandelyn currently holds an active license in professional counseling in the state of Georgia. Her wealth of knowledge and expertise in the field has been cultivated by her work experience in various sectors including but not limited to crisis stabilization hospitals, psychiatric residential treatment facilities, the juvenile justice system, non-intensive outpatient services, and The Department of Family and Children Services. Brandelyn specializes in use of the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy modality to assist clients with recognizing the significant relationship between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. She also has extensive training and experience in use of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and she recently gained the status of Certified Grief Counseling Specialist. Brandelyn believes that the power to evoke positive change relies on a trusting relationship where an individual feels heard and respected, and she strives to build these types of relationships and guide clients to paving a peaceful pathway to mental wellness.
